Climate Week NYC

In 2023, we embarked on an exhilarating journey to explore opportunities within the dynamic climate work ecosystem and to discover how we could make the most impactful contributions.

After over a year of dedicated effort and laying the groundwork for meaningful partnerships, we were thrilled to host our very first Climate events and unveil our newest initiative – launching the Climate Lab!

We shared the announcement of our Climate Lab and our open Climate Fellowship applications at the 2023 NYC Climate Week, where we had the honor of bringing to life two phenomenal events with a cohort of remarkable and established partners. Together, we created a space for our inspiring partners to shine and showcased the innovative, science-based, collaborative approach that lies at the heart of our Climate Lab.

In collaboration with our Climate Partners, we hosted two special gatherings:

Moving Climate Capital: Cutting Edge Tools + Resources

A gathering of changemakers, climate investors and funders for a beautiful evening under the stars at Ethic. Featured partners Vibrant Data Labs, One Earth, and Impact Alpha took us on a test-drive of new tools for targeting catalytic capital and deploying funds at scale using the Climate Finance Tracker and Climate Solutions Framework, with the goal of making collective impact in climate mitigation, adaptation and justice.

What Do We Value Most: Economic Pathways to Ending the Climate

Crisis

An inspiring morning gathering exploring economic solutions to end the climate crisis. Speakers Jenna Arnold, Pep Bardouille (Government of Barbados), Rachel Vestergaard (Empower Co), and Hannah Simmons (ERA Brazil) uncovered a mosaic of interconnected insights from macroeconomics to grassroots initiatives, and painted a compelling picture of how we can actualize a future based on our shared values.

These two meaningful gatherings provided powerful feedback on the possibilities for future Summit Impact events, as guests shared repeatedly how much our Summit way of gathering stood out amongst the many climate events that week. With music, arts, poetry, and intentional programming, each event was thoughtfully crafted to foster meaningful relationships, formed amongst bright minds and open-hearts committed to a viable, regenerative future.

We were honored to create an environment for hope and collaboration within the context of the NYC Climate Week. We believe that a sense of community and connection is essential to reach the future we all dream of. Through collaborative tools, values-aligned systems change, and intentionally fostered partnerships, everything is possible.
